Arthropod Shirt Co. started as an idea after our family took a trip to Japan in the sweltering heat of August and came upon an incredible handpainted clothing company in Kyoto, called Yamane Kyoto. Having soaked in the beauty and originality of painted art on shirts (as well as my own sweat), I took the concept back home and started exploring my fascination with insects, which my art has been inspired by in one way or another over the years. Arthropod Shirts are inspired by nature and the mysterious, especially the underrepresented but undeniably cool world of arthropods.
